Dr Amy Lusher is a research scientist at the Norwegian Insittute for Water Research, Norway. She is a biologist and a keen science communicator. Dr Lusher is an influential researcher in the field of marine pollution. Having been at the forefront of microplastic and marine pollution research in nearly a decade, she has authored and co-authored numerous publications on the subject. Currently, her research focuses on the distribution, interactions and potential effects of microplastics in the marine environment. Her lecture titled “Big Plastic, Little Plastics and Plastic Fish” will look at one of the threats facing the marine environment, plastic waste. The lecture will be followed with QnA.
